Girls’ Torah Bowl Ties SKA
On February 8th, the HANC Girl’s Torah Bowl team made its way to North Shore Hebrew Academy to pursue their unswerving dream of coming out on top of the competition.
They put their Torah knowledge to the test (no pun intended) by answering innumerable in-depth questions during an intense back-and-forth and ended the rigorous competition placed in a tie with Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls. Along with SKA, The Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway and Shulamith School for Girls also participated.
With tough opponents like SKA and HAFTR, HANC had to come as close to perfection as possible right from the outset, a goal that involves an incredible amount of preparation and practice behind the scenes in the run-up to the competition. The participants spent days pouring over material until they knew it like the back of their hand.
Ultimately, the intensity of their preparation as well as their veteran experience from past competitions allowed the team to shine. Because they have lost just twice during the entirety of this season, our HANC competitors are hopeful to continue to prove their excellence in Torah studies long into the future.
